Accessibility

Our commitment

HEYKURL is built for women with curls — and our site should work for all of them, including women using screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technologies. We're committed to making heykurl.com accessible to everyone.

The standard we work toward

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA — the international benchmark for digital accessibility. We're not claiming perfection. Accessibility is ongoing work, and it's the standard we build toward in every update.

What we do

To keep the site accessible, we:

  • Build with accessibility in mind from the start
  • Use sufficient color contrast across the design
  • Add descriptive alt text to images that carry meaning
  • Structure content with proper headings and navigation
  • Review accessibility as we add new features and pages

What we know we're still working on

Some parts of the site may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA — including third-party embedded content (videos, social feeds), older pages we haven't updated yet, or features tied to browser limitations. We work on these as we find them.
